Silverplated "Silent Butler" crumb catcher from a restaurant or hotel.  The butler or waiter would have used to small brush to sweep crumbs off the white tablecloth into this fancy catcher, sort of like a dust pan.  Now it can be repurposed to hold matches on a coffee table, or jewelry on a bedside table or bathroom counter, or put salt in it next to the stove, guest soaps or qtips in bathroom ... the ideas or endless.
