This set dates either late 1800s or early-1900. It's two cut glass jars set in a silverplated basket were called "Double Pickle Castor". They were introduced to dining tables in the Victorian time period of the mid-1800s, as a decorative way to serve pickled vegetables and fruits (in a time of no air-conditioning or refrigeration).  They were a sign of wealth and status, and implied that the household could afford the servants who took the time to pickle goods. The more fancy the set, the more wealthy the person. Now they're filled with luxurious-fragranced soy blend, long-lasting candle wax.  When the candles are done, you'll have the set forever.

If you love antiques and candles, this Wren & Finch candle is for you. They hit estate sales for the perfect vintage pieces that had great value in the 1800s and early 1900s, and fill them with their own luxury-fragranced, long-burning soy blend candle waxes. Once the wax is gone, you can use the vintage vessel for flowers, on a shelf to display, or put another candle in it . It's a re-usable, historical container!  Great gift ideas too.
