TIMBER FRAMED        STRUCTURES

Pioneer Wood Company builds timber framed structures from our 150-200+ year old pioneer-hand hewn beams, using the historical mortise and tenon method. The structure can be used as a gazebo, pavilion, outdoor kitchen, or tiny house, barn, etc. Images are below. (To see any image full-size, click on it.) Contact Steve Bradbury or Jeremy Sutterfield [of *Weathered Frog, our College Station location] for more information.

Pioneer Wood Company also offers the complete, authentic, pioneer-made barns that have been carefully disassembled from their 150+-year old home sites.  We can deliver and re-assemble the historical pioneer barn on your property. Contact Steve Bradbury or Jeremy Sutterfield [of *Weathered Frog, our College Station location] for more information.  Their numbers are on the Contact Us page.

Some of the photographs in this gallery show a finished out bed-and-breakfast, located on the same site in Sutherland Springs as Pioneer Wood Company; the Scandinavian Cottage.  We *don't finish out structures, but the Scandinavian Cottage shows what can be done with a structure framed with our antique beams.  The Scandinavian Cottage was built entirely by handmade mortise and tenon joinery rather than nails and hammer.  Pictures of the actual building process (the making of mortises and tenons, and the assembly) can be seen on Instagram @OurCottonwoodCreek.
